The "Genocide" of "Executing" A "Youth"

By: Shae’r

From The Dawn Of Creation ..
Given To Us Humans ..
The Power of Compassion ..

Though I May Be A Youth, Father ..
Nevertheless ..
I Beckon For Help ..
In The Bosom Of My Society ..
My Brethren ..
The Taste For Blood ..
And, The Angst For Justice ..
Prevails ..
My Fellow Brothers ..
Let’s Reason Together ..
What Good Would Come Out Of ..
Killing Another ..
We Grieve For The Kid Already Lost ..
Let’s Not Make Two Grieving Families ..
My Brothers ..
It’s Better To Give Mercy Than To Receive One ..
May The Parents of The Kid Already Lost ..
Be Moved To Forgiveness ..
Knowing Full Well ..
That The Angels In Heaven ..
Have Already Cried For One Kid ..
Let’s Not Make them ..
Cry For Another ..
Go In Peace ..

A song dedicated to ATEFEH

By: Joe Monaghan

Last year I saw a BBC documentary about a young Iranian girl named Atefah. Atefah was arrested by the Iranian “moral police”and tried and eventually hanged, she was 16 years old. I was so moved by this that I had to write the song “Atefah” you can listen to the song on my myspace page at : http://www.myspace.com/joemonaghan

This led me to find out that many Iranian children are executed each year. It is a problem that needs the worlds attention. You can find more about this by going to: www.stopchildexecutions.com

Peace and Love
Joe.

To Delara Darabi

I still believe in life
where the smiles of colors on the body of paper
paints the words of love
with my nostalgic sentiments

I love the pulse of earth in the spring
for its blossoms have crossed the winter
to plant its flowers on the walls of my impatience

I still believe in living life
as I avoid counting the pulses
of the visiting prisoners

I despise execution of love
along the noose
above the stool of death

I adore the laughter of love
as it defines freedom
in the extension of history

I wish to embrace love
with all its colors
for it awaits the caress of my touch

I trust my hands with you
to translate kindness with words of freedom
to define the justice in my life
for the small world of my glances
under the blue sky of my colors

I am afraid of justice of Quran
on the small surface of my body
I am scared of passing the line
that ends on top the execution stool
I despise this wall of impatience
for it is hauling the word of prison

I experience Life with its words
Freedom with depth of its screams
Humanity with its kindness
War deep within its shame
Love with all its colors
Prison in the black of my eyes
Resistance in the silence of my loneliness
Peace in its spring like smiles

and I am in love with the colors of life
like the flights of birds to infinity
I am the prisoner of colors
!

 ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Sangsar (Stoning) – MOVIE (35 minutes)

The movie reflects the reality of what has been happening for 100’s of years and unless we break the “cycle”, these practices will continue on for the rest of time.  Nazanin Afshin-Jam

Sangsar (Stoning) is a 35 minute movie which reflects violations of women’s and young girls’ rights in many parts of the Middle East. The story is not much different that what happened a month ago to a young Iraqi Kurdish girl who was stoned to death for being in love with a boy or the story of Nazanin Fatehi who was sentenced to death for defending herself during a rape attempt.

Produced by Afghnistan Independent Human Rights Commission. It is intended for mature audience. File starts after a one minute pause.
