Majid Kavoosifar, convicted of assassinating Judge Hassan Moqaddas, waves to the crowd prior to his hanging in public, as police officers and an innocent child looks on. The execution was on the second anniversary of the assassination, in Tehran, Iran. Judge Moqaddas who was responsible for many execution orders was shot dead in his car after leaving his central Tehran office. Majid and his cousin were delivered to Iranian government by United Arab Emirates after they had left the country. Majid’s cousin, Hossein was also executed at the same time.
