Nazanin Afshin-Jam and our team at the Stop Child Executions Campaign welcome Aida from Canada to our family of volunteers.

Aida was born 7 years after the 1979 revolution in Iran. Being political activists and in fear of their lives, Aida’s parents were forced to flee Iran when Aida was only 6 months old. After a long journey Aida eventually arrived in Canada at the age of 5 but her father had passed away before they completed their journey. “I am here now and following in his footsteps…I want Iran to change for the better,” Aida says.

She is now attending college and is planning to finish her studies in Political Science and International relations. After hearing about Nazanin Fatehi’s campaign and petition, Aida helped gather signatures and created a Nazanin Fatehi support group on facebook. Aida has been a supporter of the campaign to stop child execution and is currently managing the SCE site on Orkut.com.
