Today the security officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran removed Delara’s belongings including her art and books. They even violently broke her water jar which caused injury to her hands.
At the same time we have been notified by many in Iran that they no longer can access stopchildexecutions.com website. There is a strong possibility that the SCE website has been blocked in Iran. These events seem to be coinciding with words of concerns that was communicated by the Foreign Ministers of Sweden and Canada to Iranian Foreign Minister. The communications were as a result of contacts by SCE campaign and its supporters in Europe.
Regime authorities do not seem to be happy with the Delara documentary that was made by SCE campaign, Delara’s poems from prison and the growing worldwide support and attention to Delara and other minors on death row in Iran. This seem to be their effort to control the communications from the prisoners and within Iran to the outside world.
In her last communiqué Delara was desperately asking for her removal from the prison in city of Rasht to Tehran.
Constant request of Delara Darabi and her attorneys for transfer from one prison to another has been constantly ignored or denied while Amir Hossein who could be the person who committed murder has been given preferential treatments including vacation.
According to Delara after the murder , Amir Hossein told Delara to take responsibility, and said that since he has strong contacts within the regime and she was a minor he could get her released. Delara was also threatened and considering what Delara had witnessed she was afraid to do otherwise. According to Delara’s father’s recent interview, after he delivered her to authorities he had instructed her family not to communicate with Delara, and it was not till more than a week later when he went to see Delara that Delara told him that she was innocent and she had testified because of her fear while she had no family support. Delara’s father said, ever since for three years Delara has been claiming her innocence and there are many facts to prove her innocence, but the execution verdict has remained the same.
According to private resources in Iran, Amir Hossein’s father works at the Herasat division of the government utility company. Herasat is the regime’s internal security division that acts as eyes and ears of the Iranian regime in each organization.
We will report more details about Delara’s condition as soon as they are available. The SCE campaign strongly condemns violation of Delara’s prisoner and human rights. We will be in contact with Amnesty International, Red Cross , UN and other international authorities about the well being of Delara Darabi.
